Cerulean Edge is a small business. We collect minimal data, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with advertisers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Cerulean Edge LLC is a real estate operations and marketing services company based in Edgewater, New Jersey, United States. We provide systems, marketing, and client experience tools to real estate agents and brokers.

2. What We Collect and Why

Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog to understand how visitors use our website — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and what they click. This helps us improve the site. PostHog collects anonymous usage data including your IP address (anonymized), browser type, device type, pages visited, and interactions on the page. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics unless you submit a form.

PostHog is configured with person_profiles: 'identified_only', meaning no persistent profile is created for anonymous visitors. PostHog's privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.

Contact Form (Netlify Forms)
When you submit a contact form on our site, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, brokerage, and any message you include. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. Form submissions are stored by Netlify and emailed to our team. Netlify's privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.

Client Portals
Client portals (buyer portals, seller portals, Home Base pages) are created individually for each client by Cerulean Edge on behalf of the agent. Portal access is PIN-protected. Data displayed in portals is provided by the agent and is not collected or stored by ceruleanedge.co's analytics systems.

3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics (PostHog). These are functional analytics cookies — they help us understand site usage but do not track you across other websites or serve advertising.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or social media tracking pixels.

4. How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except the service providers listed above (PostHog, Netlify) who process data on our behalf.

5. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 2 years or until you request deletion. Analytics data is retained per PostHog's default retention settings (1 year for event data). You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting hello@ceruleanedge.co.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Visitors from the European Union (GDPR), United Kingdom (UK GDPR), and California (CCPA) have specific statutory rights under those laws. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@ceruleanedge.co and we will respond within 30 days.

7. International Transfers

Our website is hosted in the United States by Netlify. Analytics data is processed in the United States by PostHog. If you are located outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are directed at real estate professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
